We Minutemen In Virginia Fire The Illegal Immigration Shot Heard Around The U.S.A
I wrote last fall about why I joined the Minutemen in Virginia to help them defeat the day illegal alien laborer center opening in Herndon Virginia.

Last night the first election shot in the war against the illegal invasion was fired in Herndon, Virginia. The mayor and two pro-illegal immigrant councilmen were defeated at the polls, leaving a new slate in power that want to stop the invasion and the day labor center.
Never given a chance to win, with all the local and national media against them, the new mayor and the councilmen won the election because the PEOPLE spoke up about illegal immigration.
What the people said was- ENOUGH!
People are angry and getting angrier over the illegal alien invasion.
The "protests" by illegals on Monday has not awakened the sleeping giant of illegals, it has awakened the sleeping giant of the vast majority of Americans who are livid at the illegal immigrants demanding ANYTHING from us after they broke our laws getting here and are decimating towns across America.
The situation is going to get violent if we don't do something soon.
The illegals demonstrating on Monday think they have us on the run.
When they find out they only angered the country they will resort to violence.
The anarchists and the communist groups that organized the protests will see to that.
This morning the new Zogby poll came out showing that 2/3 of the American public sides with the HOUSE version of the immigration bill that is tough on border control and enforcement of the illegal immigration laws.
The poll also shows that American want the LEGAL immigrants to ASSIMILATE.
The liberal media now has two stories they have to spin away that prove the politicians on BOTH sides have no clue how we feel about this issue.
Readers of this blog know I am a President Bush supporter, except on this issue.
Bush is wrong as wrong can be here.
It is time to build the wall on the border that the Minutemen want and to put the National Guard on the border. The Minutemen are now building a wall themselves on private land since the federal government will not do it.
What does that say about where the politicians stand?
In Arizona the sheriff of Maricopa County, Joe Arpaio, said that he will use hundreds of volunteers now to patrol the deserts and roadways in his jurisdiction looking for illegal aliens. His county is under attack and the invasion of illegals has pushed them to the brink.
As he told a local TV station--"There are so many illegals trying to make it into the county that it's overwhelming my deputies, so I have called on members of my 3000 member volunteer posse to assist," says Sheriff Arpaio. "It's not only illegals we find and arrest out there, we've also made some recent huge drug seizures involving illegal aliens including nearly 100 pounds of methamphetamine and approximately three pounds of heroin."
This is a NATIONWIDE problem that needs to be handled now.
I have friends in Philadelphia who thought I was nuts years ago when I pointed out that this would become the number one issue politically within a few years. Now they see it firsthand with the demonstrations and loss of jobs in the area to illegals.
The Herndon Virginia vote shows that this is THE issue in November, and the politicians better see it now.
Democrats see the illegals, along with felons, as the only new voters they can get since they are aborting most of their future voters.
Republicans see the cheap labor for business.
Both sides ignore what the people want.
Herndon, Virginia just slapped them across the face.
In Matworld we ESCALATE the war against the illegals, not do what THEY think we should.
We must stop the Kennedy/McCain bill and any law that is amnesty.
We must start taxing the money illegals wire out of the country and tell the U.S. Post Office to stop allowing illegals to send money via Postal money order out of the U.S.
We must demand ALL U.S. citizens have a Passport to be used as the only I.D. for elections and obtaining a driver's license.
We must start deporting all illegals when they are stopped for ANY reason by police.
We must start building the wall along the Mexican border today.
We in Virginia have fired the first shot, it is up to the rest of the country to join the battle to stop the illegal alien invasion.

I'm not a populist, and care not a bit what the polls say about the popularity of my opinions. But on this issue, the polls that matter have spoken in Herndon, and will speak even louder in November.
Politicians need to take heed: defend our borders, defend our language and culture, and enforce our laws, or we will do it ourselves and you will be looking for work.
with a tm next to it, I'm stealing this:
Politicians need to take heed: defend our borders, defend our language and culture, and enforce our laws, or we will do it ourselves and you will be looking for work.
would you like language and culture to be regulated?
our language and culture. I'll let socrates offer his own reponse but it is as simple as English is the only language...no multi-lingual business...and our culture is American culture...no special "Cesar Chavez" day, or "Cinqo de Mayo" business...not at the Federal level at least.
It is ironic that, historically speaking, if Mexico did a better job securing their borders in the early 19th Century, and prevented unauthorized Americans from squatting in Texas, the Texas Reovultion never would have happened. That of course led to the Mexican War and America conquering the west.
how exactly would you like language and culture to be regulated?
I didn't say "regulated" I said "defended". The leap to regulation is not fully obvious.
For the language half, though, if you want to call it regulation to insist that English be promoted as our official language, then call it regulation.
Culture comprises language, religion, certain mores, and a view of history, among other things. It is the view of history and government in which I am interested. By and large, Latin immigrants are Roman Catholic and have a personal morality that fits in just fine.
The trouble is with Cinco de Mayo, the Mexican Constitution, and the strange view they have that Texas and California ought to belong to Mexico. If they want to see May 5 as an excuse to get drunk and shout "Arriba!" like the rest of us, that's one thing; if they want to attach to it some political significance, that's quite another.
It's about loyalty. Those coming here to work, in my view, must be willing to leave Mexico or China, and Spanish or Mandarin, behind. Bilingualism is fine, if it doesn't interfere with an immigrant learning English.
How to "regulate" it? Promote, by our every policy, assimilation.
Let's hope the Congresscritters were watching the election returns. You just made my day, and probably my week.
Thanks!
I don't think its a good idea to "regulate" language use. If a person or firm wants to communicate in Klingon, or French, its up to them.
(We are for less government regulation, not more, remember :)
However, its also quite reasonable to say that all official business - ballots, government communications (forms, web sites, publications, etc.) - be only in English, and that taxpayers funded services be provided only in English.
For example, today hospitals are required by US Executive Order to provide translation services for any language requested. In some cases, this is dozens of languages. (This could be stopped tomorrow by Executive Order.)
Bi-lingual education would, of course, be ended.
English as a second language courses are needed for immigrant kids who're new to the country. That's fair.
But -- at this point in time, it's possible for an immigrant kid to start in kindergarten, and manage to make it through school without ever having to learn English (although it's very, very rare; kids tend to pick up the language fairly quickly, unless they're told they don't have to).
AP classes are not taught in Spanish, Chinese, urdu or Arabic, though.
I'm from Fairfax, currently away at college though, but I'm glad to see my fellow Virginians taking on this problem. Anyone who thinks the problem with illegals is just a border state issue needs to come to Northern Virginia. Does anyone know Kaine's stance on the Herndon issue?
